The Foolish Tortoise Children's Book Illustration | 2021
This project was for my digital children's book class at Fairleigh Dickinson University, and I really enjoyed completing it. The objective was to choose a renowned children's book and recreate the illustrations from start to finish. I chose to illustrate The Foolish Tortoise, written by Richard Buckley and illustrated by Eric Carle. I developed a very diverse style of my own that from Eric Carle's original illustrations. The book is composed of 32 pages, including the front cover, back cover, and end pages. As a whole, this course was one of my favorites. Each week my fellow students and I would present our storyboards, drafts, and illustrated pages, which would then be critiqued. Collaborating and receiving feedback to work from each week was crucial for my book's final design, especially because of the longevity of the project.

Big Bad Barnaby Bunny Children's Book Collaborative Illustration | 2021
This project was for my School of the Arts course at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Overall, this was an exciting group project because it was with other creatives, specifically fellow students with different majors and expertise than my own. As a team, we all decided on a theme of persevering through stigmas/societal adversities. The screenwriters of the group developed the storyline, and I teamed up with a 3D animator to create the coinciding illustrations. While my illustration partner, Karla, produced the characters, I was responsible for the backgrounds. In addition, I designed the text layout and composition of the book within InDesign, including the endpapers and my team's biography pages.
