Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Promotional Flyer & Hoodie Design | 2024
This was a rewarding project to complete for a nonprofit client, whose mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. After completing the illustrations for the hoodie, I designed a promotional flyer that includes a re-illustrated vector of their logo, to encourage sales of the item. The proceeds directly benefitted the LLS and their mission, as they are a funder of blood cancer research. Check out their website!

Masago Japanese Restaurant Menu + Logo Redesign | 2021
The objective of this class project was to design a restaurant logo and a two-page menu that included four photos that were manipulated in Photoshop and four illustrations that were drawn in Illustrator. Within the menu, I incorporated the edited Photoshop images on the left-hand side and I illustrated the sushi rolls on the right-hand side. The dramatic contrast for the overall composition depicts Japanese culture and cuisine.

Sun Wave Surf Co. Brochure + Logo Design | 2021
The objective of this project was to create a new brand and then design a commercial brochure that presents the new company and its logo. I developed a surfing brand called Sun Wave. I utilized several different typography styles combined with edited graphics and illustrations to embody the movement and energy of surfing and the ocean.

Start Out Fresh Intervention Advocates (S.O.F.I.A.) Domestic Violence Shelter Poster | 2022
This poster project was designed for the women of a domestic violence shelter. I intended for the entire composition to emulate a textured quilt that symbolizes comfort, peace, and stability. To support the visual illustration, I incorporated empowering and resonating quotes from author Beau Taplin:
“A soulmate is a meeting of mind, spirit, and body with someone whose strengths, flaws, and energy perfectly complement your own. It is steady ground, a shelter in a storm, a point on a map when you are wayward and lost–the promise of a place to come home to for as long as you are here in the world.”
— Beau Taplin, The Promise
"Truth is, the best revenge is seeking none at all and investing that energy in your own health and progress, prioritizing personal goals you've been neglecting, and working toward creating a passionate, prosperous and fulfilling future of your own."
— Beau Taplin, The Best Revenge

Peace + Inspirational Poster | 2021
The concept of this project was to visualize and interpret the meaning of peace, while relying heavily on the typography to drive the story along with the graphics or a visual. Overall, I intended to evoke a route of inner peace and growth for my piece. I incorporated graphics of successful athletes with respective quotes that inspire perseverance and discipline.
As a former athlete, I find that an abundance of qualities and attributes that derive from playing sports apply to life, e.g., maintaining a career, relationships, connections, and an overall healthy lifestyle.

Fairleigh Dickinson University's Florham Institute for Lifelong Learning Poster | 2022
The Florham Institute for Lifelong Learning program (FILL) was established in 1972 at FDU. FILL’s original name was Educational Program for Older Persons (EPOP). The program offers the chance for senior citizens over the age of 62 to audit courses, enroll for credit, or opt for RPI (Retired Persons Institute) classes, that are taught by lifelong learners for lifelong learners.
The challenge for this poster was to showcase the activities and opportunities that the FILL program offers, e.g., academics, social events, supporting the university, drawing on community engagement, and individual stories. I decided to create a retro design strictly using FDU's logo pantones for the color scheme.

Black History Month Creative Freedom, Louis Armstrong Poster | 2022
My inspiration for this poster derived from the famous graphic designer, Shepard Fairey. Fairey's work as a contemporary artist and activist immediately came to mind when I was assigned this project. My intention was to mimic the style of his posters and to highlight the influential and steadfast Louis Armstrong. Therefore, I incorporated a similar color scheme, corresponding border, and repetitive pattern throughout my illustration.
"Louis Armstrong grew up in dire poverty in New Orleans, Louisiana, when jazz was very young. As a child he worked at odd jobs and sang in a boys’ quartet. In 1913, he was sent to the Colored Waifs Home as a juvenile delinquent. There, he learned to play cornet in the home’s band, and playing music quickly became a passion; in his teens he learned music by listening to the pioneer jazz artists of the day, including the leading New Orleans cornetist, King Oliver.
Armstrong advanced rapidly: he played in marching and jazz bands, becoming skillful enough to replace Oliver in the important Kid Ory band about 1918, and in the early 1920s he played in Mississippi riverboat dance bands. Altogether, his immensely compelling swing; his brilliant technique; his sophisticated, daring sense of harmony; his ever-mobile, expressive attack, timbre, and inflections; his gift for creating vital melodies; his dramatic, often complex sense of solo design; and his outsized musical energy and genius made these recordings major innovations in jazz."

Easter Greeting Card | 2021
Within this holiday card, the layout and composition relied heavily on the usage of typography and illustrations. I utilized a significant amount of negative space, hierarchy, repetition, and contrast to create a cheerful and heartfelt card. Within the inside of the card, I drew the viewer's focus to the typography which delivers the sentimental note, then outward to the subtle accent illustrations that I repurposed from the cover.

Thanksgiving Greeting Card | 2021
The concept of this holiday card was to create a festive light-hearted design that embodies gratitude. Throughout the Thanksgiving card's composition, I ensured that the typography organically coincided with the illustrations and the visual as a whole.
